Annual Christmas Contest-2008: The Catholic Sun is running a Christmas Contest for all students from K to 8th grade. For details consult the flyer that all students in our Religious Education Program have received this past week. There is also a copy of the guidelines on the Bulletin Board in the narthex of the Church.

Coupon Clipping

Our coupon trading box is a huge success thanks to everyone that has donated, clipped and sorted. But it seems that parishioners canʼt find what they want or they donʼt have enough time to look or they just donʼt use coupons, so currently there are more donators than users.  The new change will help these issues and allow parishioners to request the specific coupons they want (for example Yoplait yogurt, Suave hair care, baby products in general, etc).  This will allow you to receive your own envelope with only the coupons you want and need.  The coupon box will still remain in the church foyer for everyoneʼs use but this change will make the process user-friendly.  And extra coupons remaining after our parishionersʼ selections are made, will be used in a monthly paid coupon service that will be offered to non-parishioners so that our expended community can benefit as well.  Expired coupons will also still be sent to military families overseas.  In the coming weeks look for product selection sheets near the coupon box and please fill one out and drop it in the sealed box next to the trading box. Also I will be teaching a class in December at our church to show parishioners how easy it is to save money using coupons, discounts and simple techniques.  If you have questions or suggestions email KathyChurch @YourSensibleSpending.com or call 623-878-4708.  Thank you.

Parish Library

Father Gonzales would like to start a Parish Library. If you have books with Catholic “themes” which you would like to donate, please drop them by the Parish Office at your convenience. Parishioners could browse the selections and borrow a book and return when finished.

Coupon Clippers

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, clipped and traded coupons for the Parish coupon box. For those of you who haven’t tried it, I invite you to take a look and see how many ways there are to save on your grocery, retail and restaurant bills. The coupons donated have already blessed so many others including military families overseas and the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry. So please continue to donate your Sunday coupon inserts or any coupons you don’t want and pick up some that you do. Please place any unclipped coupon donations under the coupon box and they will be clipped and added to the box. If you have any questions or suggestions please email me at KathyChurch@YourSensibleSpending.com or call me at 623-878-4708.

Coupons

Are you looking for ways to cut your shopping bill? Why not share coupons with your fellow parishioners! Look for our new coupon trading box in the church foyer. The idea is to take coupons from the box that you can use and to add some that you can’t. Many of us get the Sunday paper but only use a handful of the coupons, now you can share the ones you don’t want by exchanging them for some you do. Restaurant and store coupons can be added as well. If you don’t want to participate but would like to share those Sunday coupons anyway, please feel free to put them in the large envelope beneath the coupon box and we’ll cut them out and add them to the box for you. Also, any coupons that expire will be mailed to military families stationed overseas since they can use expired coupons at their commissary. If you have any suggestions or questions please contact Kathy Church (email – kc2az@netzero.com or 623-878-4708).
