In your Faith Communities

Offering to religious leaders, health-related professionals, and anyone interested in the importance of health ministries, an educational opportunity to understand and assist caregivers:

• Discover and define the opportunities of serving caregivers through faith and health ministries

• Explore the requirements and challenges for providing physical, psychological and spiritual support for family and professional caregivers

• Better understand the resources available to caregivers in your communities Pastors, ministry leaders, nurses, therapists, social workers and church volunteers in your faith-based circles are encouraged to attend. The same program will be repeated on two separate dates.

Catholic Men’s Fellowship

Catholic Men’s Fellowship invites all men of the Diocese for Mass, study, and fellowship dedicated to Christian Fatherhood. All communion ministers or prospective ministers are invited to an Information Session on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Reid Hall.

Altar Server

Any young person having received First Communion is invited to be trained as an Altar Server. Please call the office to place your name on a list. CA Training session wil be held when at least four young people register.
Choir

Please consider joining the choirs. Previous experience is not needed.; just simple a desire to share the gift God has given you in praise of HIm!

Saint Vincent dePaul Conference

St. Vincent de Paul will be sending out a Call to Serve in October. If you have been thinking of how you could give back, to others, some of the Blessings that you have been given, then SVdP may be for you. To enjoy fellowship, the word of the Lord, and the blessings of giving a helping hand to our community please join us at St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Pilgrimage to France

In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette at Lourdes, a pilgrimage to the Catholic Shrines of France has be planned. The 11-day pilgrimage leaves Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday evening, March 30.

The itinerary includes:

  • · A panoramic view of Paris the first day,
  • · Visits to the Shrines of St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Bernadette, St. Catherine Laboure, St. Vincent DePaul, St. John Vianney, St, Margaret Mary Alacoque, and Blessed Frederick Ozanam.
  • · Time at the Normandy D-Day landing at Omaha Beach
  • · Masses will be celebrated at the Shrine of St. Therese, the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, Chartes Cathedral, Shrine of the Cure of Ars, and at the Grotto and Basilica at Lourdes
  • · Visits to the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur Basilica
  • · Three days at The Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The cost of the pilgrimage is $2945. + $295. departure taxes includes round trip lights LA-Paris-LA, Paris-Lourdes-Paris, luggage portage, travel by motor coach, overnight hotel stays in Paris, Macon, and Lourdes, entrance fees, breakfasts and dinner.

St. Charles Borromeo’s St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference invites all interested in joining with us for good fellowship and service to attend an information session Sunday October 14th at 7:30 p.m. in Reid Hall.
