Thanks!

Many thanks to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Organizing Team for sponsoring and hosting Fr. James Costigan’s visit. You and he are blessings to the community of St. Charles Borromeo.

Adoration

The new Liturgical Year began with the Season of Advent, when we prepared our hearts and homes for the Coming of Our Lord.  Then we celebrated the Coming of Our Lord in the Flesh 2000 years ago through the Season of Christmas.  Now as we enter what the Church calls Ordinary Time, we are called to truly live out the daily coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ into our bodies through the Blessed Sacrament… and into our hearts and minds through the Holy Bible, proclaimed at every Holy Mass.

On January 8/9, we were challenged by Father James Costigan from the Fathers of Mercy to read and reflect on the Sermon on the Mount (Mt. chap 5 to 7) when Jesus teaches us that we must be perfect as Our Heavenly Father is Perfect.  Our Lord gave us the Seven Sacraments of the Church to enable us to overcome our sins, our sinful habits, and our inordinate attachments to the world and its ways… in other words, for God’s Grace to work in us and move us toward Perfection in Him.

Father Costigan also encouraged us to say YES tour Lord specifically in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.  We do this every time we say AMEN when we receive Him at Mass; we can also say YES by making frequent Spiritual Communions… and by visiting Him face-to-face in Eucharistic Adoration.

If you have not yet completed your Invitation to Adoration form, you can find them in the back of the church or in the parish office.  If you have any questions about the adoration chapel, call Wayne (Eng) at 623-322-6350 or Gloria (Span/Eng) at 623-334-9526.

Ministries and Organizations Please Note

During the months of September through April the classrooms are primarily used for religious education. Therefore, the rooms must be set up in order to facilitate that ministry. Each group may change the configuration for their usage, but then return to the classroom model prior to vacating.

The rooms will now be inspected every morning. Failure to restore the classroom model will result in forfeiture of the privilege of use.

The A/C, heat, and/or fans have been left on in the classrooms and hall. This will be noted at daily inspection. Failure to shut off utilities will also result in loss of privilege of use.

When promoting your ministry or organization after weekend Masses, please return all tables and chairs to the parish hall. Do not leave them in the foyer or stored in the former confessional.

The parish does not have a maintenance person on staff. Upkeep and repairs are made when needed. Please inform the office of any needs and they will be made when and if possible.
