After John had been arrested,
Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God:
“This is the time of fulfillment.
The kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
As he passed by the Sea of Galilee,
he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea;
they were fishermen.
Jesus said to them,
“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.
He walked along a little farther
and saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
They too were in a boat mending their nets.
Then he called them.
So they left their father Zebedee in the boat
along with the hired men and followed him.
Please make your appointments after Mass, or with a caller if you are called, we have a group who will make calls about a week before the Blood Drive. If you do not get called, please call John Auckland at 623-772-7331; or go online to http://www.BloodHero.com [sponsor code: Borromeo] There is a great need for blood as we start the new year. Start your year off with a noble deed. Share your blood and save a life. This is one of the best ways to show “love your neighbor!” Note: if in October you ordered and have received T-shirts for the youth group, please call John Auckland for arrangements, or bring them and see John after Mass. Please encourage relatives, friends, and neighbors to come and donate. All the community are welcome to donate. This is really a community-helping-community event. The good Lord looks upon all of us.
